Camping Cots for Winter Hunting Camps

Camping Cots for Winter Hunting Camps.  Hi I am Bruce Mackay and I know if you are camping out in cold weather the best way, is  to have a good portable bed that will keep you warm and get a bit off the ground. Tent Camping You also need to get a mat under you not so much for comfort but to stop frost from getting at your but.

Camp cots for hunting

This is a common mistake in a lot of hunters they seem to think the sleeping bag is going to do it all. Sleeping bags get wet if they are on the ground.  You need a good bed under the bag even if it is snow it will help but you do not want moving air under your sleeping bag. Just pay attention to

what the guide camps use they are some of the best outfitters in the world.

This means they get paid to keep people who have no camping experience and no knowledge of the outdoors warm and happy. To do this they use nothing but the best. Guides usually set up  for a light mobile camp. Check Products Here

They do this a lot similar to the military. There is a lot of cases the Canadian and American military used northern guides to successfully learn to survive in extreme cold conditions. There is a lot of history s that show this happening. So if you want to learn how to set up a comfortable camp just find all the pictures of guide and hunting camps.

What you would learn is how to keep dry and warm. This includes you and your equipment, clothes and all. Moisture should not be  allowed but it is not completely avoidable. This is why you need a tent a camping cot with a mat for the cot to be camping in cold weather success fully and comfortably.

You need a strong and large cot with a under mat. This will work in a cabin or any camp site. If you get the cot cover it will work in the rain out side but that is  not the best in winter conditions . It is really advisable to get this set up it can be costly to get it all but it will last very well if looked after. Most hunters use these bed set ups for years before replacing them. I bet a lot of camp cots last over 15 years in good dry conditions. Camping cots are not the place to go cheap.

  1. Winter camping is best summed up as “sleeping on a block of ice.” You don’t want to share your body heat with ice for a couple of reasons: you don’t want to freeze and you don’t want the ice to turn into mud. The trick, of course, is to put some insulation between you and the ground. Here’s another tip: keep your socks and any chow you don’t want frozen in your sleeping bag.

Good ideas on keeping stuff in your sleeping bag to warm them. if you buy a good sleeping bag made for the temperature you are in it can be quite comfortable camping in cold weather. I have camped out ice fishing and had a lot of fun and Tequila. if you wring your socks out and sleep in them they will usually dry out also.

I think the key to the warmth was the Tequila Bruce. :) I haven’t done a whole lot of winter camping, maybe few times as a kid, but having a warm sleeping bag can sure make a difference in cold weather. The tip about placing something between you and the ground other than the sleeping bag is a crucial tip too.

I have observed that many insurance carriers offer prospects
generous savings if they prefer to insure many cars together.
A significant variety of households have several autos these days, specifically those with elderly teenage children still living at home, and the savings in policies might soon increase.

One thing is the fact one of the most widespread
incentives for using your card is a cash-back or maybe rebate supply.
Generally, you will get 1-5% back on various expenses.
Depending on the credit card, you may get 1% returning on most buying,
and 5% in return on expenditures made at convenience stores, gas stations, grocery stores as well
    as ‘member merchants’.
